GBA offers level 2 & 3 beauty therapy courses in Gibraltar, as well as advanced courses for those wanting to upgrade their skills. We are passionate about developing a new wave of qualified therapists, raising the standards of the beauty industry in Gibraltar. LEVEL 2 & 3 BEAUTY THERAPY COURSES
There is much more to being a therapist than learning and carrying out treatments. We play a huge part in making people feel good about themselves, through hard times, laughter and exciting situations that clients go through. If you are passionate about beauty and are looking for a rewarding career GBA could be the place to further your education and learn from the best therapists in the Gibraltar beauty industry.
We have created a fully functional training academy at the clinic to accommodate up to 10 students per term. You will study on a part time basis through a combination of theory and practical sessions. You will gain experience working in a salon environment at Glamour! We are here to support your journey! Our support doesn't end when the course does. We aim to help all of our students into employment. On completion of your qualification, you will be invited to attend a networking event to meet local salon owners which may lead to future employment.

LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN BEAUTY THERAPY
Is an entry point into the beauty industry. You will learn the basic treatments of a beauty therapist which will enable you to begin working in the beauty industry as a Junior therapist. On completion you can choose to progress to complete Level 3 beauty therapy to become fully qualified. You also have the option to add further diplomas to add to your treatment portfolio.
Additional commercial salon experience and potential job opportunities will be available post course in our GBC Salon.

COURSE DURATION
28 Weeks starting on 12th January 2023 - 29th July 2023
Mondays, Tuesdays & some occasional Saturdays
ENROLEMENT REQUIREMENTS
Must have a good level of spoken and written English.
Must be over the age of 16 by 12th January 2022.
COST £3'300 (10% OFF when you enrol before 01/10/22)
A 25% deposit is required to book your place. Interest free payment plans can be arranged for the remaining amount.
A £40 uniform fee is also charged at the time of booking.
LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN BEAUTY THERAPY

LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN BEAUTY THERAPY
The NVQ Level 3 beauty therapy course is your next step after NVQ Level 2, and it will provide you with the knowledge and skills to work competently as a beauty therapist. It is a common expectation for employees to have Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualifications.
COURSE CONTENT
COURSE DURATION: Starting September 2023 (Date TBC)
ENROLMENT REQUIREMENTS: Must hold Level 2 beauty therapy qualification. Must be over 16 by September 2023. Must have a good standard of written & spoken English.

GTI COURSES
As well as offering Level 2 in Beauty Therapy, GBA also offers (GTi) Guild Training International
courses in beauty therapy, holistic therapy, nails, and salon business. These courses combine the flexibility of online study with expert practical classroom training. GTi Courses are fully accredited and accepted by all the main insurance providers.

All students studying at GBA must complete a Professional Standards for Therapists course prior to starting any of our GTi courses. For a limited time we will be offering this course completely free!
Professional therapists are required to comply with all relevant legislation affecting their businesses and must act professionally at all times towards clients and fellow practitioners. Professional therapists are responsible for the health and safety of their clients and themselves. They must also abide by a strict code of ethics as laid down by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists.

CLASSIC LASH EXTENSIONS
This course covers the technique for eyelash extension application for both individual and flare lashes, removal and maintenance.

QUALIFICATION: GTi Individual Eyelash Extensions
LASH LIFT & TINT
This course will teach you about the technique, products and tools used to provide a professional Lash Lift and Tint treatment and includes a practical training session and assessment.

QUALIFICATION OBTAINED - Lash lift & tint GTi Award
MANICURE & GEL POLISH
This course will teach you the technique of how to provide a professional manicure and gel nail polish treatments. You will receive two certificates from this course.

RUSSIAN LASH EXTENSIONS
This course covers the technique for Russian Volume Eyelash Extension application. The course also covers the removal and maintenance of lashes.
DURATION: 1 Day. May 2023 (Date TBC)
COST: £350 + £25 Enrolment fee. Kit included.
QUALIFICATION OBTAINED: GTi Russian Volume lashes Award
DEFINITION BROWS
This course covers the technique for eyebrow tinting, eyebrow waxing, threading the eyebrows and surrounding area and the application of make-up to the eyebrow area.
